| Entry Rules and Regulations of the Combine Demo Derby |

1. Entries received before July 1, 2006, will be guaranteed $200.00 2. Entries received after July 1, 2006, will guaranteed $100.00 3. Competition will be limited to the first 20 entries. 4. Drivers must be 18 years of age and able to show proof of age. 5. All drivers and pit crewmembers must sign liability waiver agreement. 6. Drivers must wear seat belt, helmet with face shield, long sleeve shirt, long pants, and hand protection. 7. All combines must have cabs and be two-wheel drive only 8. Combine must use a grain table (platform) that is fixed at 18” from the ground. Loss of platform will result in disqualification from competition. 9. Combine grain table must have reel, guards, sickle and loose sheet metal removed. Combine ladder, unloading auger and glass must also be removed. Separator must be inoperative. Driver’s door must be welded or chained shut. Safety bars or shield must be added to the front of the cab area for driver protection. 10. Fuel tank must be mounted on top of combine (inside grain tank preferred) 11. Batteries must be mounted on top of combine at least 6 feet away from operator. 12. Tires may be filled with air only; no duals allowed; two-wheel drive only. 13. All combines to be as originally manufactured. (No reinforced parts or shields allowed) except as outlined in rule 9 above. 14. A stick must be mounted in the vicinity of the driver. The stick must be broken off when driver is disqualified or unable to continue. 15. Combines may be decorated, painted or offer advertising. No Profanity or obscene materials will be allowed.

County
combine demo derby rules and regulations are designed to assist in the
orderly conduct of the event and to establish universally acceptable
minimum requirements for regulation of combine demolition derby events. No
expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from any Fayette
County Fair publication nor shall result from compliance with these
regulations and shall not guarantee against exposure to harm, injury, or
death to any pit participant or spectator. The race directors shall be
empowered to permit reasonable and appropriate deviation from any of the
specifications herein or impose any further restrictions that in their
opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. No express or
implied warranty of safety shall result from such alteration of
specifications. Any interpretation of these rules is left to the
discretion of the officials. Their decision is final. |
